On Feb. 10, the expert symposium of 2023 China International Digital Economy Expo was successfully held in Beijing. The symposium was chaired by Wang Jianfen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the China International Digital Economy Expo, and Deputy Director-level leading cadre of Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province. Academicians and experts from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China Federation of Internet Societies, China Electronics Chamber of Commerce and other units made speeches and exchanges around the high-level preparation for 2023 China International Digital Economy Expo.

At the symposium, Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jianfen introduced the overview of China International Digital Economy Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Expo"). Fu Yongbao, a first-level researcher of the Digital Economy Promotion Division of Information Technology Development Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that Ministry of Industry and Information Technology would continue to play the role of leading the host ministries and commissions and cooperate with National Development and Reform Commission and The People’s Government of Hebei Province to work well in the preparation of the Expo. Academician Shen Changxiang pointed out that a successful exposition should focus on the core content of digital economy, promote international cooperation, pay attention to data security, and speed up the construction of a powerful network country and a digital China. President Peng Mugen put forward three suggestions around strengthening the characteristics of the Expo, focusing on digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, and creating the advantages of the Expo. Li Kun, general manager of CCID Media, shared three key words: industry business card, popularity attribute and cooperative transaction. The leaders of China Federation of Internet Societies, China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, China Association of Trade in Service, China Association of Communication Enterprises , CCID Think Tank Information and Software Industry Research Institute, CCID Convention and Exhibition, and RELX actively contribute to the high-quality holding of the Expo.

Wang Jianfen, Deputy Secretary-General, said that we would actively absorb the pertinent suggestions put forward by participating experts on China International Digital Economy Expo, highlight the direction of internationalization, content innovation, investment attraction, industrial matchmaking, local characteristics, and marketization, comprehensively improve the level of the event, and create an international event leading the development of digital economy.
